(case submitted February 17, 2006)
The patient is a 57 year RHD old business woman who frequently travels
the western US as a consultant and instructor for library software. She
is fairly physically active but does no competitive athletics. (She just
happens to be married to an important referring physician.) She was walking
in the grocery store and fell on some chicken fat, injuring her left nondominant
arm. Her husband ordered xrays which showed the following, and asked me
to treat her.
