The plate used was an Orthofix Contours VPS. In the interest of open disclosure, it is noted that Dr. Nelson, the site owner of eRadius, designed the Contours VPS plate, marketed by Orthofix, and receives royalties from this plate. There are several excellent similar devices on the market, and this site is NOT trying to advocate the use of this device or advertise it. The case is merely one done by Dr. Nelson and this is the plate he uses. The case could not be presented without showing the plate used. Other cases with other products have been posted previously and will be posted in the future on eRadius. This site will fastidiously avoid any promotion of any product. The purpose of the site is surgeon education, not product promotion. However, in the presentation of cases, products will be used and their brands named for purposes of illustration, not promotion.
