These are the xrays (PA, oblique, lateral) obtained on presentation to the office
It was felt that there was some subsidence, both shortening and volar angulation, that the fracture needed close followup, but that given her low level of observed pain and her other medical problems, she was a poor candidate for surgery and cast immobilization was the best option. She was given a cast, cautioned to avoid stressing the hand, and a followup in one week. She was warned about the risk of subsidence and the need for close followup.
