The patient is a 28 year old right hand dominant woman was hit by a car
and sustained injuries to both wrists. She was seen in a local emergency
room. Radiographs were obtained revealing bilateral distal radius fractures.
She was placed in sugar tong splints and referred to my office the following
day.
(1) What would your recommendation be, for the right?
Dorsal or volar approach?
(2) What would your recommendation be, for the left? Dorsal
or volar apporach?
