With a bit of choice words about the general state of luck in this case, and a bit of effort, the screw was removed, the K-wire removed, and the screw replaced. The reduction looked good with the radius, and we accepted the reduction on the scaphoid (a bit of a gap, but we had had it with the scaphoid by that time!).
